In earning the Computer Expert badge, Amy & I honestly thought the girls could teach us a thing or 2!!
The girls are fortunate to have a wonderful computer lab at school with a wonderful teacher! We were able to use the computer lab at school to complete this badge as a group!
AND... were lucky to have Megan's mom, a computer expert herself help teach the class!!

First and foremost, we started off the class with the Girl Scout Internet Safety Pledge... Internet safety, in my mind, is one of the most important steps of all!!!
And even though the girls said that they already knew the rules because of school, they all happily signed the pledge.
There are 5 steps to take in earning this badge, and the girls have already completed most of these steps in either school or at home.
But with Amy's guidance, for the girls to earn the badge, they focused on "Paint/Draw in an art program" and "Find some Cool Facts".
Since we were combining the meeting with Volunteer Appreciation Day, the girls were guided to make a thank you card for their special mom volunteer.
Their cool facts were found from using a Safe Search engine and searching for their favorite animal. Then they presented their new found facts to the group.
Continuing with our Volunteer Appreciation Day, the girls decorated flower pots and planted flowers to give to their mom.
Such a sweet group of girls! And now Green Thumbs!
This was their celebration tunnel for completing their Quest journey and obtaining the Take Action Key.
